With the newest version of Focus-NEX software, the ability to place an image from a cell phone onto the scoring monitors is now available in version 19.0.5 of Focus-NEX. Kids birthday parties, corporate parties, special events, open play bowlers and even league bowlers can have their picture embedded into the scoring grid while bowling. 

Using any image from your cell phone, computer, just about any image you can think of can be used for each player that is bowling with Steltronic automatic Scoring.

Focus Software Upgrades

With the exciting and patented truly 3-D animated graphics for nearly every type of score possible, the VLC was in a league of its own compared to the others. Fast forward into 2017, and Steltronic introduced a scaled down size of the VLC, and we call it Vision-NEX because it runs the Focus-NEX front desk software. While smaller in size, it packs more horsepower than its predecessor, and has the new solid state hard drive working up to 100X faster and cooler because it has no moving parts.

As we all know, if you have the original iPhone from Apple, you cannot run the newest version of their software, and the same is for Focus software. If you want to stay current with the newest version of Steltronic Focus-NEX software, the software upgrade is free, but you need to upgrade your lane computer hardware to be able to run the next generation of Focus-Nex software at the front desk along with the Vision-NEX software running at the lanes for the most brilliant and exciting interactive 3-D images and animations possible. We have a trade-in program for the bowling centers that purchase your scoring system prior to 2018 to get you into the most advanced lane computer system available for Focus software.

Steltronic is just like the Apple iPhone, there is no charge for all of the bells and whistles that get released every year by Apple, but you need the correct hardware to run the new software. 

Food and Beverage Kiosk

We are working on something new and exciting at Steltronic, a food and beverage self ordering kiosk for the customers. This self ordering kiosk can be placed anywhere in the center, and it's built with an industrial 19 inch touch screen, all you need to provide is the electricity. 

This kiosk can be ordered with or without an EMV chip credit card reader for processing immediate payment if required, or you could collect payment at time of pickup/delivery, it's all configurable by the management. Because we believe you don't need another printer to deal with at each kiosk, signed credit card paper slips will be available at the bar or snack bar when picked up and/or delivered by your personnel for signature. Some states don't even require paper signatures for credit card charges under a certain dollar amount, thus saving you even more money on wasted paper.

Food and soft drink orders will be printed in the kitchen, while alcoholic drinks will be printed in the bar. Customizing your system to allow alcohol orders to be age verified before preparation, or excluded from ordering all together, it's all customizable on your Steltronic front desk or back office computers. 

Easily add/remove items to customize your food order, while using the full color touch screen with your images of the food and beverage items you sell from your bar/snack bar or restaurant. Stay tuned for further announcements on the availability of this new food and beverage kiosk. 

41 Years Strong

Last summer of 2020 was a great milestone for Steltronic, as our company celebrated it's 40th anniversary. We had plans to celebrate at Bowl Expo in Denver, because 40 years in business is a great achievement.

However the pandemic of 2020 had other ideas and Bowl Expo 2020 was cancelled, so this year at Bowl Expo 2021 in Louisville Kentucky will make our 41st year in business and 26th consecutive Bowl Expo worth celebrating. 

We'll have our 41st anniversary celebration at Bowl Expo, and we're going to celebrate it with all of the attendees. Stay tuned for further information on how you can take advantage of our anniversary special. 

Semnox Integration

Arriving in March or April of 2021, Semnox and Steltronic are currently developing software together for an interface for both systems to work together seamlessly and intelligently.

With the ability to read an RFID (Radio ID) wirelessly using contactless technologies, the front desk personnel for bowling will allow the customer to use his/her RFID Semnox card for bowling payments in the Focus-NEX scoring system. 

The Parafait suite of solutions from Semnox has proven to be a game-changer for indoor Family Entertainment Centers, outdoor Amusement Parks as well as for Food Courts and Restaurants. 

Vista Integration

Our Steltronic software developers along with Vista are currently working on an integration package for the movie theater industry software to work together with the Focus-NEX software as another integration. 

With the ability to buy a movie ticket, and also renting a lane for bowling in one operation with just one terminal is the main goal, and will soon be completed for use in your family entertainment center that has movie theaters. 

Vista started in 1996, when the founder and Chief Product Officer/CPO Murray Holdaway, was asked by a global cinema company to produce ticketing software to 'enhance the cinema experience'.
