The triumph of FatCats traces back to a spontaneous idea jotted down on a napkin, a classic start to many successful business stories. This unconventional beginning occurred two decades ago when restaurant owner Dave Rutter and bowling equipment sales executive Sean Collins unofficially agreed on a shared vision for “all-out fun,” combining family entertainment and exceptional food under a single roof.

In 2001, just two years after their informal agreement, the first FatCats opened its doors near Salt Lake City with Steltronic scoring. The concept evolved over the years, and in 2015, the addition of a movie theater marked a significant expansion in Gilbert, Ariz. The success of the cinematic experience led to further growth, with multiplexes established in Saratoga Springs, Utah, and Mesa, Ariz.

With two decades dedicated to entertaining customers, FatCats recently celebrated the inauguration of its ninth and latest location (all with Steltronic scoring), a vibrant establishment in Queen Creek, Arizona.
